The 2025 Tainan Automatic Machinery Exhibition, organized by the Commercial Times, officially opened today at the ICC Tainan. Leading machine tool manufacturers GOODWAY and AWEA once again joined forces under the GOODWAY Group banner, presenting a combined exhibition space of 270 square meters, making it the largest machine tool exhibitor at this year’s event. As Southern Taiwan’s most important annual machine tool exhibition, GOODWAY Group has brought together its strongest lineup, showcasing seven of the most advanced machine tools currently available on the market. The display features a range of multitasking turning centers and 5-axis machining centers, complemented by integrated automation systems. Presented at a world-class exhibition standard, the showcase highlights the Group’s industry-leading R&D capabilities and reinforces its position as one of Taiwan’s premier machine tool manufacturers.
According to the Group, the exhibition will feature several flagship machines from GOODWAY, including the GMT-2000 5-axis Multi-tasking Machine, the GRA-2060 Angular Cylindrical Grinding Machine, the GA-2000Y Multitasking Turning Center with Automation Integration, and the SK-38 High-Performance Swiss-Type Turning Center. AWEA will showcase the AU-680 High-Performance 5-axis Machining Center, the FCV-620 High-Speed 5-axis Machining Center, and the FV-560 5-axis Machining Center. Under the exhibition theme, "5-axis Excellence Beyond Compare," the Group will highlight its advanced 5-axis machining technologies and automation integration solutions, demonstrating its capabilities in delivering high-precision, high-efficiency manufacturing for next-generation industries.
Among the exhibits, the most highly anticipated machine is the GOODWAY GMT-2000 5-axis Multi-tasking Machine. The GMT-2000 is equipped with a B-axis milling spindle, a lower turret, and twin spindles. Featuring 9-axis control and simultaneous 5-axis machining capability, it enables the completion of processes that traditionally required two to three separate machines within a single setup. Designed to handle even the most complex workpieces, the GMT-2000 delivers exceptional flexibility, precision, and productivity, making it one of the most advanced multi-tasking machine tools available on the market today.
The GOODWAY SK-38 High-Performance SWISS Type Turning Center integrates high rigidity, high performance, and a highly flexible tooling system into a single machine platform. It features a gantry-type tooling system designed to evenly absorb cutting loads, a hybrid guide bushing configuration that supports both SWISS type and non-guide-bushing machining modes, a B-axis live tool holder with a ±135° swiveling range, and eight rear-side live tool stations with Y-axis control capability. Combining exceptional machining versatility with advanced multi-axis functionality, the SK-38 is ideally suited for the production of small, complex, and high-precision components, making it one of the most capable machining solutions in its class.
Among AWEA’s featured exhibits, the AU-680 High-Performance 5-axis Machining Center is expected to attract significant attention. The AU-680 is equipped with an A,C-axis rotary table developed and manufactured in-house by AWEA, featuring a table diameter of 680 mm. The A-axis is driven by a twin servo system and integrated with an advanced braking mechanism, delivering outstanding dynamic performance and positioning stability. The table also offers a maximum loading capacity of up to 1,000 kg. Further enhancing its capabilities, the machine is equipped with a 16,000 rpm built-in high-speed spindle and a 60-tool automatic tool changer. Combining exceptional simultaneous 5-axis machining performance with a large work envelope, high load capacity, and a compact footprint, the AU-680 is ideally suited for precision machining applications in the aerospace, medical device, automotive, and mold & die industries.
The AWEA FCV-620 High-Speed 5-axis Machining Center is specifically engineered for applications requiring both high-speed machining and heavy workpiece capacity. The machine features a robust column and reinforced headstock saddle structure, providing the exceptional rigidity required for high-speed cutting operations. Its rotary table base is manufactured as a single-piece casting and incorporates a dual-support design to maximize structural stability and machining accuracy. In addition, the rotary table utilizes a roller cam drive mechanism that delivers outstanding rigidity, high transmission efficiency, and virtually zero backlash. This advanced design enables the FCV-620 to meet the demanding precision requirements of a wide range of high-accuracy machining applications. Combining high-speed performance, superior structural rigidity, and exceptional positioning accuracy, the FCV-620 is well suited for the production of complex, high-precision components across a variety of advanced manufacturing industries.
