Facing the growing demand for high-end processing equipment, GOODWAY, a leading Taiwanese machine tool manufacturer, is once again challenging the global market with technological innovation, launching its latest GMT-2000 five-axis multi-tasking machines. This highly anticipated model not only boasts a maximum of 9 axes control, 5 axes simultaneous cutting capability, but also received “The 16th Awards Ceremony of the Taiwan Machine Tool Industry Awards for Excellence in Research & Innovation First Prize” at last year's TIMTOS Machine Tool Show, marking a significant milestone for Taiwan's machine tool industry in breaking international monopolies.

For a long time, the high-end 5-axis multi-tasking machines market has been dominated by international giants, with few breakthroughs from Taiwanese manufacturers. However, GOODWAY has bucked this trend. Through years of research and development and technological accumulation, they successfully developed the GMT-2000 five-axis multi-tasking machines, becoming the first Taiwanese company to achieve large-scale mass production of high-end multi-tasking machines. This model has been adopted by several leading domestic automotive parts and aerospace companies and has successfully penetrated the high-end European and American processing markets, further demonstrating the international competitiveness of Taiwan's machine tool technology.

High-end machine models are less affected during a global downturn in the machine tool market, and GOODWAY has made significant gains in this segment. The first batch of GMT-2000 is completely sold out, and the second batch of 20 units is rapidly moving into production. Chairman Edward Yang stated, “The GMT-2000 represent a major leap forward in Taiwan's machine tool capabilities. We are dedicated to developing high-end products, not only to enhance our corporate competitiveness but also to see Taiwan's machine tools stand alongside the world's top brands.”

GOODWAY's GMT-2000, as the second-generation 5-axis multi-tasking machines, involved a research and development investment of NT$150 million. It combines the functionalities of a turning center and a machining center, achieving the benefit of “one machine replacing multiple machines.” It can perform high-efficiency, high-precision complex workpiece machining and boasts heavy-duty cutting capabilities, making it widely applicable in high-end manufacturing industries such as automotive, aerospace, and energy.

Facing market competition and economic challenges, GOODWAY chose a high-end strategy to break through. Edward Yang stated, “The GMT-2000's multi-axis control and five axes simultaneous cutting capabilities are sufficient to complete the machining of any free-form surface or complex shaped workpiece, and it can create multiplied benefits through automated production lines. We firmly believe that the high-end route will drive the group's revenue to continue growing.”

The advent of GOODWAY's GMT-2000 not only symbolizes a technological breakthrough for Taiwan's machine tool industry but also serves as a strong declaration to the international market. As global manufacturing demands for high-end processing equipment increase, GOODWAY is demonstrating the competitive strength of “Made in Taiwan” in the international market, backed by its solid technological foundation and innovative capabilities.

“We hope the GMT-2000 become a milestone for Taiwan's machine tool industry, bringing more efficient and reliable processing solutions to both domestic and international clients,” Edward Yang emphasized. “In the future, we will continue to focus on technological innovation and market expansion, letting the world see the value of Taiwan's machine tools.”

As global manufacturing continues its move towards digitalization and intelligence, GOODWAY's success not only injects new momentum into Taiwan's machine tool industry but also demonstrates to the global market that Taiwanese enterprises have the capability to challenge international powerhouses.
